The Dubai Canal project will turn Al Safa into a fashion hub. Currently, a 23.8 km long canal extends through the Shindaga Quarters in Bar Dubai through the Ras Al Khor Nature Reserve and ends at Business Bay. "The new project will completely change the Al Safa district, turn it into an elite quarter, where there will be everything necessary for leisure and entertainment," the Dubai Committee on Roads and Transport noted. The center of the project will be Al Safa Park itself, which will house a shopping center with an area of ​​50 thousand square meters. meters, five kilometers of beaches and 80 thousand square meters. meters of pedestrian promenades and recreational areas, including for children and athletes. By 2016, when the Dubai Canal is completed, the emirate will already receive 22 million tourists.
