Moscow does not rule out an early meeting of Putin with representatives of the UAE

Dmitry Peskov confirmed the information that the Russian president could meet with representatives of the United Arab Emirates.

Russian President Vladimir Putin may meet with senior representatives of the United Arab Emirates, whose delegation will soon visit the Russian capital. This was announced to reporters by the press secretary of the head of state Dmitry Peskov.

“Indeed, representatives from the Emirates will be in Moscow, we do not exclude that such a meeting is possible with the president,” Peskov told reporters on Monday, May 28, 2018, answering the corresponding question.

He also noted that it was premature to talk about whether the situation on the oil market would be discussed during the meeting.

The delegation from Abu Dhabi is expected to be in Moscow on Friday, June 1, 2018.

In March of this year, Putin had a telephone conversation with the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the UAE Armed Forces Mohammed Al Nahyan, during which he noted the high dynamics of the development of relations between the two countries in trade, economic and investment spheres, as well as "confirmed mutual interest in further building up the whole complex of bilateral interaction, close coordination in the interests of ensuring stability and security in the Gulf region and the Middle ostoke in general.

The previous meeting of the President of the Russian Federation with the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi took place in April 2017 in Moscow.
