Dubai authorities are not going to open a casino in the emirate

Dubai authorities have denied rumors of plans to open a casino in the emirate.

Dubai, UAE. Dubai's Department of Tourism and Commercial Marketing does not plan to allow the opening of a casino in the emirate. Thus, the Dubai authorities dispelled the rumors that appeared after the news about the release of Caesars Entertainment Corporation, the casino operator in Las Vegas, into the emirate’s market.

It is worth recalling that in March 2017, plans were announced for the construction of the iconic Bellagio Hotel in Dubai, which is also famous for gambling. The introduction of the Queen Elizabeth 2 cruise ship, which was converted into a hotel, added fuel to the fire.

As noted by the head of the department, Issam Kazim, new hotel brands from Las Vegas diversify Dubai's tourist offer in the entertainment sector, but there is no talk of opening a casino. Dubai offers the UAE "diversify the tourist base" to attract more tourists.
