Motorists in Dubai will be able to check for free whether their cars meet safety requirements during the hot summer season.
Despite the fact that several months remain before the onset of high temperatures in the UAE, road safety experts advise motorists to start checking the safety of their cars now.
As part of the Inspect It For Me campaign, Road Safety UAE organized free car safety checks in Dubai, which will last until April 7, 2018.
This initiative is linked to recent studies of the root causes of vehicle breakdowns in the UAE. The main reason why cars could not pass the mandatory test when registering a vehicle last year was the condition of tires, brake system, bodywork, exhaust system and steering.
Car safety checks in anticipation of the summer season will be held every Saturday from 12 to 19 hours in the main parking lot of the Ripe Market in Al Barsha Pond Park.
Organizers said this initiative is part of a road safety awareness campaign.
