Dubai became an official partner of the tourism exhibition of the year MITT 2009 in Moscow

The 16th international exhibition MITT 2009 "Travel and Tourism" will be held from March 18 to 21 at the Expocenter on Krasnaya Presnya in Moscow. This bright event in the tourism sector, which has become the most important and most representative industry forum for travel professionals in Russia and Eastern Europe, annually gathers more than 3 thousand companies from 120 countries and regions of the world. MITT is one of the five largest tourism exhibitions in the world, and is rightfully recognized by the international tourism community.

The MITT exhibition is traditionally held at the Expocenter, a prestigious exhibition venue in the center of the Russian capital. Within four days there will be many business negotiations, meetings, exchanges of views and suggestions. Participation in the exhibition MITT 2009, which industry professionals call the "exposition of the year", is becoming a prerequisite for success in the upcoming tourist season.

According to the audit, last year the MITT 2008 exhibition was visited by 91907 people from 514 cities of Russia, as well as from neighboring countries of Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan and 73 other countries of the world. The main difference of the MITT exhibition is that it serves as a proven platform for business communication, primarily for travel industry professionals (the proportion of visitors to specialists is 73%). Thanks to MITT, mid-March has traditionally become a special period for the tourism industry in Russia, the CIS countries and their foreign partners. It is here that all market players announce everything new and the most interesting that was developed in anticipation of the upcoming tourist season: new programs, new prices, new destinations. Opening sales at the exhibition, professionals say: summer begins in March - it starts at MITT.

Attracting hundreds of foreign tour operators, it is MITT that determines the potential of inbound tourism and is a real "showcase" of tourism opportunities in Russia. Many come to MITT to "discover Russia", so participation in the spring exhibition at the Expocenter creates unlimited prospects for the development of the tourism industry in Russian regions. The promotion of inbound and domestic tourism at the MITT exhibition is given special attention. Traditionally, such travel companies from Dubai as Alpha Tours, Al Fanar Tourism, Desert Adventures, Fasten Tours, Al Khalidiah Tourism, Planet Travel, Royal Park Tourism Services and many others, as well as leading hotel chains Jumeirah, Le Meridien, take part in the Moscow exposition Rotana, Hilton, Accor, Sherwoods Hotels & Resorts, Tamani Hotels, Shangri-La Hotels and others, representing the means of accommodation of different classes - from luxury hotels to hotel apartments and fashionable resort complexes.

The permanent organizer of the MITT exhibition is the leader of the exhibition business - ITE, which is also the organizer of the 15th international tourism exhibition "Leisure" / Leisure, which will be held in September this year.

The organizers diversified the MITT-2009 exhibition with a number of innovations. Firstly, the geography of its participants has expanded significantly: for the first time, Japan and Colombia will be represented with national pavilions. Another new event of MITT 2009 will be the festival of promotional videos of the participating countries. The winners will be selected by a competent jury, and the best videos will be broadcast on plasma panels at the exhibition.

A separate pavilion will be occupied by a permanent participant of MITT - the largest Russian tour operator TEZ TOUR. MITT 2009 will occupy an area of ​​about 60,000 square meters. meters and uses the following pavilions:

  • Pavilion No. 2 (halls 1, 2, 3) - countries of the Mediterranean and Europe
  • Forum Pavilion - countries of Asia, Africa, the Middle East (including the UAE), Latin America, Australia and Oceania, islands
  • Pavilion No. 5 - TEZ Tour
  • Pavilion No. 8 (halls 1, 2, 3) - Turkey, Turkish hotels; Russian operators in Turkey; section "Information Technologies in Tourism"; Russian regions
  • Open area - Russian tour operators, bus tour operators.

Within the framework of the MITT exhibition, an extensive business program will traditionally be held during all 4 days of its work, consisting of conferences on topical issues of the tourism business, seminars and consultations, presentations of new directions and services, and so on. Participants and visitors coming to the exhibition will be able to take advantage of a 10% discount on air tickets. The organizer of MITT, ITE, entered into such an agreement with the SkyTeam Alliance, which includes Aeroflot - Russian Airlines.

The first two days of the exhibition will be open to professionals in the tourism and hotel industry. You can visit the exhibition only by invitation or name badge. On other days, the exhibition will work for all visitors.
