These data are contained in the report on the results of a survey conducted by US News and World Report. Dubai, it should be noted, has become the most desirable place for travelers to visit in the Middle East and North Africa region.
The blame for everything, the report says, is mega-attractions, including one of the largest shopping malls in the world, The Dubai Mall, the indoor ski complex Ski Dubai and enchanting views of the Persian Gulf. The study was based on independent opinions of tourists and expert analysis of places popular with them, including parks, resorts and cities most often chosen for travel and adventure.
The study also showed which destinations are the best for a budget family vacation, a honeymoon on the beach, spring breaks and much more. More than 300 destinations were analyzed, each of them was rated in such categories as "Sights", "Culture", "Romance", "Adventure", "Food", "Nightlife".
The eternal city of Rome headed the global rating, the closest pursuers of which were Sydney, Porto, London, Paris, New York, Florence, Prague, Barcelona and Dubai, which closes the top ten. It is noteworthy that not a single direction in the CIS countries was included in the rating.
