For drying clothes and barbecue on the balconies in Dubai will be fined US $ 136

Trakhees, an organizational unit of the Dubai Corporation of Ports, Customs and Free Economic Zones, oversees and controls residential areas such as Jumeirah Heights, Jumeirah Village and Jebel Ali Downtown. According to information from an official representative of Trakhees, the campaign to inform about the introduction of new fines, launched in October last year, ended on February 29 of this year. Violators caught after this date will be fined in accordance with the new law, which entered into force in March 2012.

Recall that in November last year, Trakhees informed all residents of these areas about the ban on installing satellite dishes on the facades and balconies of houses, as well as on the use of balconies as places for storing unnecessary items and furniture, hanging bedding, clothes, curtains, carpets, warehousing mops, brushes and other equipment intended for cleaning rooms.

The emirate’s authorities conducted an extensive campaign to raise awareness among residents of residential areas, including posting information leaflets and distributing brochures on the new rules in five languages: Arabic, English, Hindi, Urdu and Chinese. Anyone who violates the new order of the Dubai Municipality will be fined 500 dirhams (US $ 136). In addition, tenants who violate other Trakhees regulations may face fines of up to 50 thousand dirhams (US $ 13.6 thousand). One of these requirements is the maximum allowable number of residents in rented apartments, in particular, not less than 200 square meters. ft (18.5 sq. m) per person.
