Almost 3 thousand chefs took part in the "Culinary Initiative" of Dubai

Dubai's Department of Tourism and Commercial Marketing (DTCM) and the Emirates Culinary Guild have set a new global achievement that will be included in the Guinness Book of Records. On January 4, as part of the Emirate Culinary Initiative, almost 3 thousand chefs (2847 people) representing national cuisine gathered in the main arena of the Meydan Racecourse.

The previous record was set in South Korea, where at the same time a meeting was organized for 2111 people in white aprons and caps. The initiative, implemented in Dubai, was aimed at raising the awareness of local residents about the traditions of the Emirate cuisine. In addition, it was timed to coincide with the anniversary of the reign of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Prime Minister, Vice President of the UAE and ruler of Dubai.

All participants in the meeting for 5 minutes stood in the stands to fix the world record, as required by the rules. Among the cooks themselves, this action was called "The Reunion of All Emirate Cooks"
