And about culture

In the spring, cultural life in the Emirates is in full swing - here you and La Traviata at the Emirates Palace, Ahlan Ball! at Atlantis Hotel, The Palm, a literary festival with the arrival of Boris Akunin, a fashion festival, several versions of ballet performances, various exhibitions and concerts ... Someone sang along to old people from the Metallica group in Abu Dhabi, someone "walked" outfits and diamonds " on the Christmas tree "in the banquet hall of the Burj Al Arab hotel, someone was waiting for Dan Balan to leave Cavalli until 2 in the morning, and someone enjoyed a spectacular" attack "on Justin Bieber, with the piano turning over and continuing the" unsuspecting "phonogram in time of his speech. Oh yes, the circus came to us!

And I had a dilemma - go to Swan Lake or MMA fights. Culture VS Sports. As a result, finances won. All these events in the Emirates require certain costs - a cultural vacation here means not so much looking at your favorite artist live as "showing yourself". Not because I want to, but because I need to. What if tomorrow a crisis happens again and nobody comes? In some Moscow or Europe, you can go to theaters and concerts at least every day, but here everything is seasonal and limited by the choice of organizers: eat what they give. The swans, as they say, are not the same, and in the battles Gazprom sponsors not our fighter ... The feeling of idleness and the pre-season “agony” does not leave.

In general, ladies and gentlemen, in the spring, no matter how commonplace, I want freshness. In feelings, air, mood and elusive aromas. Spring flowering want. And a little respite from forced "cultivation."

Happy summer!

Yours, Irina Ivanova
