The new roadster is a spatial aluminum architecture, front-engine layout and, of course, rear-wheel drive. The length of the F-Type is 4470 mm, the width (without outside mirrors) is 1923, the height is 1296, and the wheelbase is 2622 mm. And all this with a mass of 1,597 kg. It turns out that the F-Type is 21 mm shorter than the 911th, but at the same time as much as 50 mm wider! True, the mass of the novice aluminum “911 convertible” loses 147 kg.
There are three options for the execution of the newly minted roadster. The standard F-Type received a 340-horsepower (450 N * m) V6 engine with a Vortex mechanical Roots supercharger. The version of the F-Type V6 S has a similar six-cylinder engine, but with a more efficient compressor and a modified control program, which made it possible to remove 380 hp and 460 N * m from the motor. At the top of the line is the F-Type V8 S, there is already a five-liter "eight", developing 495 forces and 625 Newton meters, and it is also with a mechanical supercharger.
