Bunches of light

A GREAT Oratorio on the Theme of Islam - The Clusters of Light - is being shown in Sharjah from March 26 to April 4.

The cultural capital of the UAE opens with a large-scale theatrical performance "Bunches of Light", which tells about the true values โ€‹โ€‹of Islam, the Year of Islamic Culture. To demonstrate the epic piece, in which an orchestra and a choir performing arias take part, the Al Majaz Amphitheatr amphitheater was built. Its space housed 400 spotlights, 120 sound speakers and 21 animated projectors. The site, reminiscent of the form of the ancient Roman theater, has an area of โ€‹โ€‹7238 square meters. meters and can accommodate 4,500 spectators.

The oratorio was authored by Saudi poet Abdal Rahman Al Ashmawi, and composer Khalid Al Sheikh from Bahrain. In total, the performance involved more than 200 artists from around the world, including the Arab stars of Hussein Al Jasmi, Lofti Buchnak, Ali Al Hajar and Muhammad Asaf.

The work includes a story about the life of the prophet Muhammad - from birth to death, tells about the early achievements of Islam. The duration of the performance is 1 hour 42 minutes. It is worth noting that 24 significant projects are planned in the framework of the Year of Islamic Culture in Sharjah, most of which will be implemented on a new stage.
