Letter from the editor

I was born and raised in Moscow and, accordingly, I got used to the not very gentle climate. However, now, living in Dubai, I catch myself on an unusual thought - how glad I am for the onset of autumn! While my Facebook friends post a little sad photos of Moscow’s “wet”, I breathe a sigh of relief - the summer, and therefore the heat, is over! Here everything is the other way around - it is in the autumn that life is in full swing: a series of fashion shows, social events, presentations by artists, gala dinners and performances by world stars begins. In addition, you can finally go swimming and sunbathing on the beach, in the evenings you can go out with friends to restaurants in the open air, ride a bike, and just go for a walk in city parks. Life smoothly moves from closed air-conditioned malls to open areas and sea promenades. And everyone with pleasure plunges into various types of outdoor activities.

We specially dedicated this issue to various adventures, as well as to the "hidden pearls" of the Emirates, whether it be unusual yoga studios that you hardly heard about, or non-tourist places where you should definitely go. Dubai is a beautiful city, but if you want to see all the beauty of the Emirates and feel their spirit, you should go inland and see the real country. See beautiful mountains, and hidden fresh lakes, and even sand waterfalls. I personally recently like to leave for the island of Saadiyat, located in the emirate of Abu Dhabi. I like the sea, which looks like the ocean, I like the nature reserve beach, protected by the state program, I like the very atmosphere of this ideal place for relaxation, which will soon turn into the center of the cultural life of the capital. In the near future, a branch of the Louvre and the Guggenheim Museum will be opened there, it is there that the interactive center of modern art Manarat Al Saadiyat is located, which in September-October prepared an interesting program.

So this country is surprisingly diverse in its color, and the new season also promises a lot of vibrant cultural and entertainment events, which we also tried to tell in the most detail on the pages of this issue.
