POWER OF WOMEN: HOW DUBAI MARKED MARCH 8

Despite the cultural differences, to say that the holiday of "authorship" by Klara Zetkin Dubai is cool, not quite true. On March 8, several thematic discussions and film screenings took place in the city at once (this is not to mention quite ordinary compliments for ladies in restaurants and spa salons). But with what chic and scale the "holiday of spring and femininity" can be celebrated in Russia, the Emirates were shown in Dubai Polo & Equestrian Club.

International Women's Day here lasted for two - on March 8 and 9, and was celebrated with a solid portion of tulips and mimosa, beautiful dresses, live music and fashion shows (it could not do without the traditional sparkling, of course). The Consulate General of the Russian Federation as an organizer provided foreign diplomats with their beautiful halves in the guest list. Event agency DXP production was responsible for the atmosphere and the "fashion" component, inviting designers from Moscow. EMAAR has provided a luxury venue. And even the weather did its part by organizing the sun and clear skies over the weekend.

The celebration was held under the auspices of "beauty, femininity and style", and Consul General of the Russian Federation in Dubai and the Northern Emirates Oleg Fomin recalled the theme proposed this year on the occasion of March 8 by the UN. He developed the slogan “think about equality, create wisely, innovate in the name of change” with reflections on the courage and determination of ordinary women: “It is gratifying to note that the role of women in the emirate’s society is growing from year to year, and today beautiful women can be seen in almost all power structures of this state. "

It was not necessary to go far for examples - examples were at the festival “in all its glory”: a spectacular maid with perfect make-up drove to the celebration at the wheel of a police Audi. The guests constantly noticed how elegant the police uniform with a skirt looks! There were employees from DEWA (Dubai Electricity & Water Authority), and female civil servants.

A thousand invitations left in three days, the organizers cheerfully noted: "The hype has definitely been created!" Among the guests were diplomatic staff, representatives of Lukoil, Gazprom, the Union of Entrepreneurs, EMAAR, etc. "Three years ago, we just introduced local people to the tradition of congratulating women on March 8, and told the inhabitants of the Middle East that there is such an" International Women's Day "- shared Alina Gilmanova, Founder and partner of DXP production. - A year later, I began to receive congratulations from acquaintances of foreigners, and the trend continues. This year, we decided that we need to cope with the maximum, and so large-scale celebration takes place for the first time. Partners took the idea with a bang! "

Girls who were keen on beauty trends could be seen among the partners of Japanese luxury cosmetics Shiseido, the official makeup partner, Afrina salon, which is famous for its hairstylists, and Obagi Medispa. Among the partners were the Image Laboratory Persona, Party Social (the company provides rental furniture for events), Paper Planes, Salama Khalfan, Babychka, Alla - all Love Love Always, Dr. Kamil Al Rustom.

On the catwalk, mothers of model appearance paced arm in arm with the children - in the clothes of the brand Inna Zhirkova MiloMilo. The model protocol was sweetly broken by touching kisses. After the babies from the AIST educational center performed the song “Mom is the first word” in the finale of the show, the most sensitive people brushed away a tear. And when these little angels handed each guest a bunch of flowers from "Colors & Flowers", emotion glided even over the faces of strict men in business suits (there were not many of them, but still).

Brands Baravia Fashion and Jelena Bin Drai also presented their collections. The headliner of the second day of the celebration - Irani Kids, pleased the guests with a bright show. A guest from Moscow was the Alla Couture brand, which produces handmade clothes and accessories for women, suitable for important events and events. Another Moscow brand - Sol Atelier - is already familiar to local fashionistas at the Matryoshka festival. The atelier team performs tailoring on individual orders using Italian silk and lace. Fashion designer Naira Harutyunyan also demonstrated her collection. The choreographer Kamilla Mukhamedyarov was responsible for staging the show with the DXP production team. The ballet show was presented by the pupils of Unique Dance Studio.

Coaching sessions and workshops from psychologists, artists and florists were organized for guests. In show-room areas, guests boasted of newly acquired designer outfits and jewelry. In the evening, everyone gathered to admire the equestrian light show from Dubai Polo Club.

The culmination of the two-day program was the debriefing of the Mom and Daughter contest. For several weeks, readers of the Russian Emirates sent warm and touching photos with their daughters. The winners, whose pictures were the most popular among the subscribers of the Family & Kids group on Facebook, were honored during the festive event. All the contestants received gifts from Babychka, and the strict jury could not decide on the best couple for a long time - the level of grace went through the roof. By the way, the only man in the jury turned out to be the most sensible: when the others were already tossing a coin (“everyone is so good that they decide the case”), Sheikh Khaled Alshareef continued to accurately set points, adhering to a strict rating system.

It is hoped that celebrating March 8 in Dubai with a Russian scale will become a good tradition!
