Named the diet of the first emirate astronaut on the ISS

The chef told what the first cosmonaut from the United Arab Emirates on the International Space Station will eat.

Chef Aisha al-Tamimi from Qatar told what Hazza Al-Mansouri, the first cosmonaut from the UAE, will eat on the ISS.

According to RIA Novosti, Khazza himself drew up his diet by choosing dishes of national cuisine. They are prepared from common ingredients in the region - rice, meat, seafood.

Aisha cited madruba as an example of dishes - a dish that can be prepared using crushed wheat or rice - a saloon, a majbus and a dessert made from sweet vermicelli with an egg balalit.

Khazza Al-Mansouri was selected from thousands of applicants ready to be the first to represent the United Arab Emirates in space. Previously, he was trained to enter the ISS in Russia.

On September 25, Al-Mansouri will go on an eight-day space mission to the ISS aboard the Soyuz MS-15 spacecraft and will return to Earth aboard the Soyuz-12 spacecraft.
