Isra Val-Miraj Festival will be a working day in the UAE

Contrary to the expectations of local residents, the current work week in the UAE will be standard.

Dubai, UAE. This year, the government of the United Arab Emirates declared the Isra al-Miraj religious holiday, which falls on Wednesday, April 3, a working day. Thus, the current work week for public and private sector workers will not be shortened.

It is worth recalling that earlier the Cabinet of Ministers excluded two holidays - Isra Val-Miraj and the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad - from the official list, which they were in previous years.

The total number of official holidays this year has decreased to 14. Thus, the closest paid holidays will be the days of the Eid al Fitr festival that comes after the holy month of Ramadan.
