The ruler of Dubai acquired new horses at the world's largest auction

The ruler of Dubai bought 22 thoroughbred horses at the world's largest auction, which is currently taking place in the United States.

The ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, last week attended the world's largest purebred horse auction in Lexington, Kentucky. Keeneland Association is the largest auction of its kind.

It is reported that Sheikh Mohammed replenished his famous collection with 22 horses. On the first day of trading, the ruler of Dubai invested $ US 6.9 million, and by the end of the fourth day the amount reached $ US 18.9 million.

One of the horses is a descendant of American Pharoah - the winner of the Triple Crown 2015 race, which brought $ US 2.2 million a few years ago.

Sheikh Mohammed set a record for the amount of purchases at the auction, and Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum still holds the second place. He managed to invest $ 12.3 million in 19 horses.

The auction lasts until September 23.
