Dubai will have a new indoor pedestrian crossing to the metro station

A new indoor air-conditioned pedestrian crosswalk to the DMCC metro station will appear in Dubai.

Dubai, UAE. An indoor, air-conditioned pedestrian crossing will connect the new Uptown Dubai quarter, Almas Tower and DMCC Metro Station. The length of the passage will be about 1 km - this is the distance between the new district under construction and the existing metro station.

According to the management of the Free Economic Zone DMCC, the new transition will greatly facilitate the life of metro passengers who live and work in the Jumeirah Lakes Towers area. Today they have to get to work on foot, languishing under the scorching sun.

In the first half of 2018 alone, the DMCC station served 5.5 million passengers. About 100 thousand people live and work in the JLT area, where 68 residential towers and business centers are built.
