Dubai policeman rescues woman from prison

A policeman from Dubai paid a fine to a woman who could not deposit money on her own.

A Dubai police officer agreed to pay a fine for a woman who was sentenced to 100 days in prison.

Lt. Abdul Hadi Al Hammadi, an employee of the Rashidiya police station, paid 10 thousand dirhams ($ US 2.7 thousand) to prevent the young mother from going to prison. The husband of the woman who was sentenced to imprisonment had only 100 dirhams ($ US 27.2) and could not raise funds to pay the fine.

The officer said that he was moved by her husband’s grief.

"Realizing that the man could not find support from his family and close friends, I decided to help this family," the policeman said.
