Emirates Airlines from the United Arab Emirates will encourage visitors to The Dubai Mall for shopping.
Under a new partnership between the operator of Emaar Malls and the largest international airline in the world, customers at The Dubai Mall will now be able to earn Emirates Skywards miles for shopping, food and entertainment.
Members of the Skywards Silver, Gold and Platinum loyalty programs from the UAE airlines will receive one mile per dollar, and members of the Blue status program will receive one mile per $ 2.
Miles are accrued for all purchases that cost more than 100 dirhams ($ US 27.2). The program is valid in all stores, restaurants, entertainment venues, including Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo, VR Park, Dubai Ice Rink and Reel Cinemas.
Dubai Mall is visited annually by over 80 million guests. The partnership between Emaar Malls and Emirates Airline builds on the strengths of “the two most famous brands in Dubai,” said Nasser Rafi, CEO of Emaar Malls.
Emirates Skywards Platinum and Gold members can spend and earn unlimited miles per month, while Silver and Blue members can spend and earn up to 10 thousand and 5 thousand miles each month, respectively. Platinum members also receive exclusive access to the Fashion Avenue parking lot and free access to The Lounge, Fashion Avenue, in the shopping center.
"Emirates Skywards members can spend miles on Emirates flights, hotel stays, tickets to international sporting events," said Nejib Ben Kehed, senior vice president of Emirates Skywards.
To earn miles, Skywards members must register for the rewards program using the Dubai Mall mobile app.
