UAE and Jordan sign cooperation agreement

The United Arab Emirates and the Kingdom of Jordan have signed a cooperation agreement.

The UAE and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan signed a cooperation agreement providing for a number of programs and strategic projects aimed at strengthening partnership between the two countries and improving the efficiency of the public sector in Jordan.

Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Cabinet Leader and Future Development, and Jordanian Public Sector Development Minister Majd Schweikekh signed an agreement with senior officials of both countries during a visit from the UAE delegation led by Mr. Al Gergawi to Jordan.

The three-year agreement covers the areas of government, intellectual services, business, innovation and best practices, development of leadership skills, as well as the exchange of knowledge and experience.

Omar Razzatz, Prime Minister of Jordan, also discussed ways to strengthen partnership between the two countries with the UAE delegation.

Mr. Al Gergawi said: “The Government of the UAE, in accordance with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Prime Minister, Vice President of the UAE and the ruler of Dubai, is making every effort to strengthen partnerships between the two countries, increase the efficiency of governments, exchanging experiences, knowledge and models for future development. "

"The stability, development and prosperity of Jordan is the merit of the entire Arab region, the experience of the UAE is open to all Arab countries," the official added.

In November last year, countries signed a memorandum of understanding regarding the application of the United Arab Emirates government work system in Jordanian government.
