Visit some Dubai museums this weekend for free.

Two major museums of the United Arab Emirates offer free admission in honor of International Museum Day.

Dubai Culture and Arts (Dubai Culture) celebrates International Museum Day on May 18th. In honor of this, visitors are invited to visit the Etihad Museum on May 18 and 19 and the Dubai Museum on May 19 for free.

International Museum Day is celebrated on May 18 every year throughout the world and is coordinated by the International Council of Museums. On this day, cultural institutions, as a rule, offer a number of special events that emphasize the role of museums in the life of peoples.

This year, the focus will be on how museums introduce technological tools to reach a wider audience outside buildings and premises, and how they use social communication channels to empower visitors and interact with museums.

Dubai Culture operates over 16 heritage sites in Dubai, each demonstrating the city’s important and rich heritage. From historical artifacts to the collection of old coins - there is something new for everyone. Dubai Culture also runs the Etihad Museum, which tells the inspiring story of the 1971 Union Agreement.

Dubai Culture works to draw attention to the emirate’s rich heritage through a series of initiatives that take place throughout the year.

During Ramadan, the Etihad Museum will be open from 10:00 to 17:00 seven days a week, and the Dubai Museum from 9:00 to 17:00 from Saturday to Thursday.
