Dubai created the largest aerial projection in the world

Dubai set a Guinness record for creating the world's largest projection on the screen, lifted into the air.

In Dubai, enthusiasts created a projection in the air with an area of 300 square feet (about 28 square meters) and thus broke another Guinness world record.

On the world's largest of the raised screens, a logo was posted with a portrait of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahayayn, the father of the nation whose United Arab Emirates celebrated its centenary in 2018.

The canvas was lifted into the air by a Bell 212 helicopter, while a projector was installed on another helicopter, broadcasting a short film about the first president of the UAE, created using augmented reality technology and projection overlays.

Helicopters took off from the Skydive Dubai air base and flew along the coast of Dubai to Zabil Park. Then they flew over Dubai Bay and returned to Skydive Dubai Air Base. The flight took a total of 90 minutes. The film was well viewed from the ground.

It should be noted that the previous world record for aerial projection was set in New York - then the screen area was 250 square feet (about 23 square meters).
