Dubai encourages transit passengers to enter the city

Transit passengers traveling with a dock in Dubai will be more likely to enter the city.

Dubai, UAE. Dubai International Airport is going to encourage transit passengers traveling with a dock in Dubai to get acquainted with the possibilities for shopping in the emirate. We are talking about passengers who stay at the airport for more than four hours. Those with a docking less than four hours will be offered virtual tours.

Dubai International Airport receives 4.5 million transit passengers every month. On average, each of them spends 9 dirhams (US $ 2.5) for souvenirs, food and drinks during their stay in the transit zone of the terminal. At the same time, those tourists who visit Dubai can spend an average of 1000 dirhams (US $ 274).

As part of the Microcosm of Dubai project, implemented by the Future Dubai Fund, transit passengers will be offered a program of visits to shopping centers during their stay in the city. In this way, transit will become part of the hospitality industry. Large retailers welcomed a new initiative that will help tourists discover new shopping opportunities.
