Emirate police in Sharjah, UAE, have stepped up patrols on roads adjacent to desert areas. Last Saturday, there were 20 traffic accidents recorded in two key areas - Malaiha Road and Al Dhaid Road.

Authorities report that despite efforts to reduce serious accidents, they continue to be committed due to violations committed by vehicle drivers.

Now, in these areas, Sharjah police have increased the number of mobile radars, cameras and patrols to ensure traffic safety, especially on weekends.

Sharjah police will continue the three-month campaign, which will focus on improving the driving culture. To get people's attention, brochures with road safety information are distributed and social networks are used.
