The Dubai Police Department on Tuesday announced the last day that offenders can pay discounted fines.
Dubai police have announced a discount deadline for fines for traffic violations. Motorists can take advantage of a 50% discount on road fines until March 1 of next year. Dubai Police reminded drivers that a 50% discount will apply to all road fines from January 1 to December 2, 2017.
“The 50% discount on travel fines expires on March 1, 2018. Also, offenders can redeem their fines through the Dubai Police Department app,” police said on Twitter.
According to the instructions of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed al-Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the UAE's Armed Forces, the Dubai Police offers a 50% discount on road fines received from January 1 to December 2, 2017.
To facilitate the repayment of the fine, the Dubai police offered the motorists various payment methods: directly through the Department of Traffic, police stations and car registration departments, as well as through payment terminals in all shopping centers.
You can also pay fines via the Internet on the websites of UAE banks and centers of the Road Department. When paying a fine, the discount is calculated automatically.
