Flydubai launches direct flight from Dubai to Kilimanjaro

Dubai-based Flydubai is the first airline from the United Arab Emirates to launch a direct connection with Kilimanjaro.

On Friday, December 15, 2017, the first flight of Dubai's Flydubai airline landed at Kilimanjaro International Airport. Thus, the air carrier expanded its flights with Tanzania and increased the number of routes in Africa to 12.

The airline was the first of the UAE air carriers to offer direct communication with Kilimanjaro.

Flydubai will offer 6 flights per week to Kilimanjaro, three of which will be connecting to Dar es Salaam.

The first flight landed aboard with Sudhir Sidharan, senior vice president of commercial operations at Flydubai (in the Gulf region, Africa, Indian subcontinent).

The airline demonstrated its new Boeing 737 Max 8, which was first shown at the Dubai Air Show this year.

Kilimanjaro International Airport between the Kilimanjaro and Arusha districts in northern Tanzania. The airport serves as a gateway to the main tourist region, where Mount Kilimanjaro, Arusha National Park, Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti National Park are located.

Flydubai CEO Gate Al Gate emphasized that the route was opened in response to strong demand from UAE travelers. Now, passengers from Dubai have the opportunity to travel to more than 250 destinations.
