Sergey Chemezov spoke at the Dubai Air Show-2017 about the importance of the Middle East market for Rostec and the use of artificial intelligence technologies in the Su-35.
On the first day of the Dubai Air Show-2017 exhibition in the UAE, Rostec CEO Sergei Chemezov spoke about the participation of the state corporation in the show, calling the region of the Middle East and North Africa “one of the largest” - in 2016, its share was 48 -49%.
“We always take part in this exhibition. Russia presents a large number of our equipment: Su-35, Superjet, IL-76,” he said, adding that Rostec had never represented such a number of natural exhibits.
The head of Rostec also spoke about the experience of using artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in his developments: "This topic is interesting, including for Rostec. We are working in this direction. As an example, I can give the SU-35. In it there’s just one of the blocks, which is essentially represented by artificial intelligence. It analyzes all the goals that it captures, and immediately determines with which weapon which target to hit. "
Sergei Chemezov added that similar developments will be carried out in the field of civil aviation.
