Peacock thwarted a plane departure from India to the UAE

Due to a plane collision with a peacock, an Air Arabia flight from India to the United Arab Emirates was delayed.

According to Indian news agencies, an Air Arabia plane flying between Sharjah, the United Arab Emirates, and the Indian city of Coimbatore, collided with a bird on Sunday when landing. It was reported that it was a peacock.

The Airbus A320 received small damage.

Due to this incident, the return flight to Sharjah was canceled until repairs were carried out in order to eliminate the damage.

According to airport officials, the collision was the first such incident - Coimbatore took a number of steps to prevent emergencies related to birds.

In a statement, Air Arabia confirmed the incident and noted that passengers were offered hotel accommodation and all the necessary assistance during the maintenance of the aircraft.
