Well forgotten old

This ancient method was used by the Indians of North America, the inhabitants of Tibet and India. Many peoples used bark and plant leaves for this purpose. And in Russia, for example, until recently, rolled-up newspapers, waxed, were used. In ancient Egypt, where it was also distributed, linen fabrics were first used for him ...

You still do not understand what it is about? About one of the most popular medical procedures today. We give the floor to the cosmetologist Svetlana Gorshkova, who will talk about her in detail.

"We are talking about the so-called ear candling - cleaning the ears with wax candles and funnels. They are made from beeswax and peeled cotton with the addition of sage, chamomile and aromatic oils (such as eucalyptus, lavender).

The essence of the method is as follows. Candles (more precisely, hollow tubes with an internal filter) are inserted at one end into the ear of a patient lying on their side, and are ignited from the other end. During combustion, vacuum and heat are generated, due to which the sulfur plugs soften and rise up the tube. When the candle burns to a special mark, it is removed, the burning end is extinguished in a glass of water and unfold. Many say that the most interesting point is precisely this - you can see all the "deposits" of your ears: sulfur, water and dirt.

After the procedure, it is recommended to avoid getting water in your ears during the day, and use special pads or cotton swabs for swimming. "

Such candles are not only designed to remove sulfur plugs. This is an excellent remedy for sinusitis, headaches, tinnitus, mild inflammation of the middle ear, sleep disturbance, nervousness and irritability.

Contraindications are inflammation of the eardrum, purulent discharge, tumor processes, chronic inflammation and infections, inflammation of the skin around the ears, as well as allergic reactions to beekeeping products.

Similar candles - from different manufacturers and at different prices - are now sold in almost every pharmacy in Russia. Their quality, unfortunately, leaves much to be desired. In the Emirates, the most popular Nippi candles of the German company Biosun, so named after the tribe of North American Indians. These candles, being a certified medical product, are of high quality workmanship.

Despite the fact that ear candling has long been popular, doctors are still debating about its dangers or benefits. This method does not yet have scientific confirmation. Therefore, if you still decide to resort to it, you must use a high-quality product and apply only to a certified specialist.

Moreover, there is plenty to choose from. Ear cleaning (as well as aromatherapy, reflexology, thalassotherapy, acupuncture) is no longer the prerogative of medical institutions - beauty salons and beauty centers are doing this successfully. The market for such services is very extensive. Numerous clinics, SPA and salons offer a huge variety of procedures using the latest technology and equipment.

And healthy ears to you!
