UAE hockey team players meet with the winning team of the Gagarin Cup

Players of the Russian hockey team "Polar Bears" from the UAE met with the players of the SKA team, which became the winner of the "Gagarin Cup".

Players of the Polar Bears team, the only Russian hockey team in the UAE to become the winner of the United Arab Emirates Cup in 2016 - 2017, met with the players of SKA - the winning team of the Gagarin Cup of the Continental Hockey League (KHL).

The meeting was held during the visit of the management of the Polar Bears to St. Petersburg, it was attended by leading SKA players - Pavel Datsyuk, one of the most titled hockey players, winner of the Gagarin Cup, two-time Stanley Cup winner, bronze Olympic medalist, world champion, and Yegor Yakovlev, player of the Russian national hockey team, world champion, winner of the Gagarin Cup in the SKA St. Petersburg.

SKA players greeted the Polar Bears team and wished them luck in the new season of the United Arab Emirates Championship 2017 - 2018.

On the same day, the management of the Polar Bears team visited the charity match “From the Heart” in St. Petersburg, in which the stars of Soviet and Russian hockey participated - Pavel Datsyuk, Alexander Radulov, Evgeni Malkin, Evgeni Kuznetsov, Ilya Kovalchuk and others.

Recall that the campaign "From the heart" is held annually for seven years in different cities of Russia, and this year St. Petersburg became the host of the meeting for the second time. The Friends of SKA and Kovalchuk Team fought in a charity match. SKA leadership was represented by SKA President Gennady Timchenko, Vice President Roman Rotenberg, noted poker, CEO Andrei Tochitsky and sports director of the SKA Academy Ilya Gorbushin.

As part of the action, 10 million rubles were raised, which will be used to support athletes and children with disabilities. The organizers of the event are the SKA and ANO "From the Heart" hockey club, with the support of the Government of the Russian Federation.
