Volkswagen Passat CC - executive athlete

Toward the close of 2008, the German company Volkswagen introduced in Dubai a new sporty and dynamic, combining uncompromising comfort and outstanding design, the four-door Passat Comfort Coupe sedan. The CC model is based on the usual Passat, but differs in size: the new coupe is 31 mm longer, 36 mm wider and 50 mm lower than the usual VW sedan, which gives the car a classic, representative look.

The unique presentation of the novelty was first held in absolute darkness, which made those present sharpen all their senses - hearing, smell, touch and sight, when occasionally flashing rays of light pulled elements of the new Passat CC out of the darkness. Later, the spotlight illuminated by the SS caused an enthusiastic sigh of all those present.

Interior

Despite belonging to the clan coupe, the four-door Passat CC car compares favorably with the interior spaciousness of the cabin. The back is comfortable, without resting your knees in the backs of the front seats, can accommodate two adult passengers. The seats are a successful compromise between sportiness and comfort, coupled with the active ventilation of the pillows and backs. And thanks to the climate control system with a clear and intuitive menu, the driver and front passenger can control the temperature in the cabin. At the choice of the buyer, the interior decor offers inserts made of natural wood and brushed aluminum. It is interesting that in the decorative door panels around the contour there is a built-in backlight that creates a pleasant atmosphere in the cabin at night.

Another interesting design element is the electric panoramic roof, designed specifically for the Passat CC. Its length is 750 mm, with a width of 1120 mm. Thus, the entire space from the front of the roof to the middle pillars of the body is transparent.

The radio navigation system - RNS 510 will help you get to your destination with comfort and ease. In this case, the route will be displayed on a high-resolution full-color LCD with touch control. Data can be stored on a 30 GB hard drive, and here you can also record a collection of music files in MP3 or WMA format. On the way, passengers can enjoy watching DVDs or listen to music using the sound system with great sound.

In those cases where a monotonous road leads to a decrease in driver’s attention and deviation from the trajectory, the Lane Assist, who controls the road markings, will keep the car in a lane with smooth influence on the steering wheel, even in darkness or fog.

The system for locating the space in front of the car Front Assist automatically maintains a predetermined distance to the vehicle moving in front and warns the driver about the possibility of collision through light and sound signals. If the distance is reduced to a minimum, the system slows down the car, if necessary - to a complete stop.

In addition, the sedan is equipped with a Rear Assist rear view camera located in the Volkswagen swivel emblem on the trunk lid. When activated, the wide-angle lens automatically extends and displays the space behind the car, transmitting a signal to the monitor on the front panel. Auxiliary lines superimposed on the picture suggesting the optimal parking path, which is why the driver does not need to periodically turn back.

The Dynamic Drive Control control system combines the sportiness and comfort of a sedan in one car and offers three driving programs: “normal”, “sports” and “comfort”. And another novelty is Park Assist, which allows you to automatically park your car at the touch of a button. The driver only needs to control the speed and brake pedals.

Individuality in detail Rims have a strong impact on the overall look of the car. The dynamic design of alloy wheels has a special effect - the light plays brilliantly on sparkling surfaces as soon as it hits them. According to the general static data of the drivers, the tires change every 100 thousand kilometers, the Mobility Tire System tires of the Volkswagen Passat CC can be used up to 500 thousand kilometers, thanks to high-quality rubber. In addition, Passat CC is equipped with eight airbags and an electronic stability control system, which makes this car one of the safest vehicles in the world.

The new sedan is equipped with a 1.8 TSI gasoline engine developing 160 hp. (at 5000 rpm). This turbocharged 4-cylinder engine is economical: average fuel consumption is 7.6 liters per 100 kilometers. Thanks to this new engine, the Passat CC accelerates to 100 km / h in 8.6 seconds and reaches a top speed of 222 km / h. This machine is equipped with a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard, but there is the option of installing a 7-speed DSG gearbox.
