Sheikh Mohammed Ibn Rashid Al Maktoum visits recently opened market at Dubai Waterfront

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum inspected the new market at Dubai Waterfront.

On Friday, some time after its opening, the Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Ibn Rashid Al Maktoum, visited the Waterfront Market in the Dubai neighborhood of Al Hamria. In a new modern building with an area of ​​more than 100,000 square meters, you can buy fish, fruits, vegetables, also in the room there are shops of dried fruits, spices, dates, honey and much more. Among other things, the market has a hypermarket, various retail stores, office premises, as well as a beautiful promenade with cafes and restaurants.

During the visit, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid was accompanied by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Ibn Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Executive Director of Emirates Group, Khalifa Khalifa Dubai's department of relations and hotel business, as well as several senior officials.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed said that he was pleased with the market, which in the near future will become a new destination for shopping tourism on the bay. In addition to the fresh food market, it is also planned to open a bazaar designed as a single store for all customers. Of course, many restaurants, banks, cafes, shops with dried fruits and spices will be opened on the territory of the facility, as well as an open observation deck from where guests can enjoy views of the Cornish.

Sheikh Mohammed inspected a nearby fishing boat and moorings for water ferries, as well as parking for 1200 cars and a passenger boarding area for taxis.

His Highness emphasized the importance of indoor shopping centers to meet the needs of the population and ensure comfortable family shopping.

The Waterfront Market was built by Ithra Dubai, a subsidiary of Dubai Investment Corporation (ICD). After completion of construction, the facility was transferred to the administration of the Dubai Municipality.
