Dubai is nearing completion of the construction of a new interchange near the Dubai Mall.

The new transport interchange, which will facilitate access to The Dubai Mall, the largest shopping and entertainment complex in the Middle East, will be commissioned at the end of this year. The road structure will connect the Al Khail highway with a flyover over Financial Center Road. The project is being implemented by the Dubai Roads and Transport Committee in collaboration with Emaar Properties.
The cost of the two-lane overpass is estimated at 177 million dirhams (US $ 48.5 million), the project includes the construction of an entrance to a new parking lot in the additional section of the shopping and entertainment center currently under construction. The length of the structure is 1.27 km, and the throughput is 4500 cars per hour.
