The new Ambassador of Ukraine to the UAE presented his credentials to the President of the country

On December 20, 2010, His Excellency Yuri Vladimirovich Polurez, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the United Arab Emirates, presented his credentials to the President of the United Arab Emirates, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The ceremony was attended by the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Internal Affairs of the UAE His Highness Sheikh Seyf bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Head of the Office of the Crown Prince Abu Dhabi His Highness Sheikh Hamid bin Zayed Al Nahyan, other representatives of the government officials.

The UAE President congratulated the Ukrainian diplomat on his high appointment. His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, in particular, noted the importance of the ongoing Ukrainian-Emirate dialogue, as one of the main factors for further fruitful cooperation between the two states. During the conversation, the parties noted the dynamic nature of the development of bilateral relations and stressed their readiness to expand the areas of Ukrainian-Emirate cooperation.

Yuri Vladimirovich Polurez was born in 1964 in Kiev. He graduated in 1986 from Kiev State University. T. G. Shevchenko. He has been in the diplomatic service for 20 years since 1991. He worked in various positions in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, in the Representative Office of Ukraine at international organizations in Vienna, and served as Chargé d'affaires ai of Ukraine in the Republic of Austria. Before being appointed Ambassador of Ukraine to the UAE, he headed the Main Service of the State Protocol and the ceremonial of the Secretariat of the President of Ukraine. He has the diplomatic rank of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary. Married, has a daughter. Decree of the President of Ukraine No. 946 on the appointment of Yuri Vladimirovich Polurez Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the UAE was signed on October 11, 2010.
