The advent of the new year always prompts me to think about summing up some results. Even if intermediate. Like you too? Okay. Then let's do the calculations. No, not the profits and losses of the Russian oligarchs, and not the votes of the voters in the elections of deputies of the State Duma of the Russian Federation. There is someone to consider ... I decided to figure out how many times during the year and in all our magazines we used the words "exclusive" and "luxurious." Honestly, in the second hundred I personally lost count. And it’s not at all because the vocabulary of our editorial staff is so scarce and limited that we cannot pick up any other epithets or synonyms, telling about the events and phenomena occurring in the UAE. And, rather, because in relation to the local objects, projects, people and events, it is not possible to express themselves differently. It seems that everything in the United Arab Emirates, which celebrated the 40th anniversary of their birth only on December 2, is tailored to "individual standards", exclusive to residents and visitors, with all possible luxury and scope. Well, and now you tell me, how can I do without the terms "exclusive" and "luxurious"? I know that many of our fellow journalists do not like the use of this pair of words with the frequency with which this happens here and now. By the way, they also refer to the expressive word “glamorous” to the same forbidden trio on which all journalism is based, broadcasting and writing about modern fashion, beauty, and even a healthy lifestyle. But we are all from the "other sandbox". Please forgive the involuntary pun. So, in fairness, we must and publicly say that the UAE is, of course, exclusive in everything, well, or almost. The country itself, grown in the sand in a matter of decades. What is not exclusive in the scale of world history? The tallest building on the planet? Also, you know, exclusive + luxury! Unique architectural projects, such as, just by the way, the Ferrari World theme park in Abu Dhabi? This is not even in the homeland of these famous sports cars in Italy! And in the Emirates there is! Or take, for example, a variety of international events, whether cultural, sports or musical. Each of them bears its own special, exclusive imprint "held in the UAE"! And meeting with the most famous people whom even in their native countries cannot be found? Isn't that a luxury? What events there, just look around, and in the new areas of Dubai you will not see a single similar building! Each high-rise office or residential building was built according to an exclusive project! And from the windows of these houses offers a magnificent view of the sea. Infinite and beautiful .... And even a calm and safe standard of living in the United Arab Emirates is a real exclusive for the present times! Here you can safely wear expensive jewelry, drive luxury cars, make solid acquisitions. Businessmen have the opportunity to freely and confidently conduct their business and place investments without any particular risks. This list is endless, and each of you can continue ... And if we summarize everything already said, then the United Arab Emirates is the country of Les Exclusives. You can argue! Or count how many times these words I used in my current short greeting.
