Russian women in the UAE against world hunger

On December 10, 2011, the Russian Women’s Union of Women took part in a charity auction organized by the Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the United Arab Emirates as part of the celebration of the 150th anniversary of this organization and the Festival of Italy held in this regard.

The auction took place in one of the most exclusive places in Dubai - the Armani Hotel, which is located in the world's tallest building, Burj Khalifa Tower, with breathtaking views of the fountains.

One of the sponsors of the charity auction was the Russian Women Association in the UAE. According to the organizers, all proceeds from the sale of lots will be transferred to the UN Food Relief Program - World Food Program.

Tatyana Al Arud, president of Rossiyanka, speaking in front of the audience, noted: The Russian Women Association in the UAE is proud to be able to take part in the auction and express its concern that a huge number of people are starving in the world, and has contributed to a noble cause aimed at reducing the number of hungry people around the world. "

Recall that the World Food Program is aimed at combating hunger worldwide and is funded exclusively by voluntary donations, being the largest humanitarian program in the world.
