A new world-class zoo will be built in Dubai

Dubai Municipality is studying a project to build a new world-class zoo in the emirate.

It is expected that his concept will be determined within two months. According to Hussein Nasser Luta, Director General of the Dubai Municipality, a team has already been formed that will prepare the final version of the project, including choosing the location of the zoo and placing animals in accordance with international standards. According to him, two basic concepts were considered: "Safari", which is already used in zoos in countries such as Singapore and Thailand, and "Cages", which are familiar to residents of many countries. "Given the available space, we are inclined to the second option," Mr. Luta said.

He also noted that the traditional zoo system of cells will be improved in accordance with world practice and the needs of visitors. "The location of the cells will take into account the nature of animals and birds, and will not affect the living comfort of the population of neighboring houses. A team of highly qualified specialists is working on the project," the head of the municipality added.

It should be noted that the Dubai Zoo is the oldest in the Middle East. It was built in 1967. The zoo has more than 1 thousand representatives of the fauna; thousands of tourists visit it annually.
